This week has been a break from the usual routine.  Tuesday I spent most of the day with Holly.  We ate, shopped, ate some more, shopped some more - it was great!  That evening I went to a swim meet for the first time.  That was really interesting and exciting.  Global Impact celebration came to a conclusion on Wednesday night with a dinner of sandwiches, international desserts, and flavored coffees.  It was cool to see the variety of desserts people made.  Yesterday I helped some other ladies from the church with some yard work.  It is so much more fun when you can visit while you work.  I am catching up on housework and doing a cake today.  I hope to get to do some Christmas shopping on Saturday.  Sunday I will be attending a day of sharing to watch demonstrations on cake decorating techniques.  I always learn so much at the DOS and get to visit with other cake decorators I haven't seen in a while.

I'm having a great day because my wonderful daughter is here!!!  But, I'm sad also because she is going back home in a few hours.

I'm reading a book that Mindy gave to me as an early birthday present.  Really good book - thanks Mindy!!
